Pyxis: The Discovery (Pyxis, #1) - K.C. Neal Review from busymomsbookreviews.comCorinne is a young woman in high school who uses her grandmothers "food dye" to make cupcakes and people start treating her differently. She also begins to have very vivid nightmares as other weird things start to happen. Her friend Mason also has these dreams and he tells her about them when he gets home. They along with another friend try to figure out what her grandmothers liquids are and what is going on in there town. I really liked the idea behind this book; I thought is was original and interesting. The book, however, was really slow, you don't find out what is going on till the end of the book. It seemed to drag on and on, with the characters not knowing what’s happening and never getting any answers. The execution was a little wobbly, but it seems to be a good start to a new series. Since I thought it was such a unique idea then I am going to read the second book before I can decide if I really like the series or not.
