Charmeine (The Light-Bearer, #1) - Emily Guido Review from busymomsbookreviews.comCharmeine is the first book in this new series and is now one of my favorite books. Charmeine and Tabbruis are the light and dark, and fit together like the yin and yang symbol. They were torn apart and Tabbruis forgets all about Charmeine and wanders around on earth lonely and never really knowing why. Him and Charmeine finally meet up and cue the fireworks. Charmeine is a strong, passionate woman who can and will fight for what she wants. Tabbruis is dark and brooding bad ass, when they get together you get to see a softer side of both of them. They have to fight like hell not to lose what they have again. This was another one of those books where my husband kept looking at me like I was a lunatic because I would be reading it and just start laughing or crying and a few times I yelled "flippin monkey." I thought the plot was well thought out as well as new and refreshing. I liked the world that the author created and will definitely be reading the next book in the series.
