I love Julie Garwood books, her romantic suspense all seem to follow the same storyline with a few variations. Woman is in trouble, friend in law enforcement helps and the two of them get together. Hotshot follows this storyline as well, there is nothing wrong with it at all. The writing is good, the characters are engaging and some of the characters antics are humorous. The heroine Peyton was smart, she didn't sit back and wait for someone to fix things for her, she had a backbone. Finn was an alpha male with a sweet disposition. I loved how Finns life changed after he saved Peyton from drowning when she was a child. Anyone who is a fan of a good romance will enjoy this book.
