Captivated (An Affliction Novel #1)

Captivated - Deb Apodaca Review from busymomsbookreviews.comBefore reading my review remember that it is my opinion and only my opinion. I am sure the author worked very hard on this book and that there are people who will not share my opinion of it.This book had a really pretty cover, so I did what most people do and went oohh pretty I need to get it. To bad the cover is the only redeeming quality of this book. The girl in the story Mindy is just stupid and I am not talking the she has some blonde moments but she is redeemable stupid. No I mean the "oh my god, how do you not kill yourself brushing your teeth stupid". She is selfish, childish and the whole entire book I was really hoping that she was going to die. The hero Dean is just as ridiculous, he is a wanna be Angel who needs to tell the heroine to go to counseling. Markus was interesting but not good interesting. The villains in the book were overly cliché. As much as I hate to admit it I had a Twilight flash back when Mindy saw the deer in the woods. (The movie not the book). Everyone in this book made me mad and the writing was horrible. Nothing really flowed together and there were so many errors I thought about transferring the book onto my computer and copying it into word so that I could spell check it.
