Kiss of Midnight (The Midnight Breed, Book 1)

Kiss of Midnight - Lara Adrian Review from busymomsbookreviews.comI really enjoyed this book, there is so much going on yet it did not feel chaotic. I liked how you were not only told but also you got to see how hard Lucan had to fight to remain in control. When he finally realizes that he loves Gabriel it makes his emotions seem that much stronger. Gabriel had some moments of awesomeness. I hate heroines who blindly follow the hero because they love them and will always forgive them. Gabriel didn't believe everything she was told right away, and she didn't cower. She stood up to Lucan and she stood up for herself. She didn't make excuses for Lucan or his behavior she demanded explanations. She fought for the right to be with Lucan even when she was scared. The fight scenes were concise and did not go on and on about useless information. I personally had no problem with the sex scenes, yeah they were detailed but they were not really out there. They made you want to fan yourself a little bit, but that is the point. Overall I liked the book and would recommend it to other people, however if you have problems with sex scenes that actually describe what is going on then don't read it.
